The Richard Packer Memorial Soccer Scholarship Fund was established to honor Coach Richard Packer’s legacy.  Coach Packer was a two-time All-American soccer player at Penn State, winning back-to-back national championships; an Olympian for the 1956 US national soccer team in Melbourne; a professional player in Philadelphia; and when he joined the Air Force, he organized and ran soccer competitions for all US air bases in Europe.  He continued to be an ambassador of the sport, and in 1978, he created Packer Soccer Camps along with his friend and former NY Giants and Buffalo Bills kicker Pete Gogolak.  The camp continues to run today!

The scholarship aims to recognize outstanding students with achievements in athletics and the community.
We are a 501(c)(3) charity.
